Axe and the Ivory’s latest release, “Let it go” EP is out now.
A culmination of 4 years of hard work, changes, refinements, additions, subtractions and plenty of heated discussions, the band say this is…
“…something we are really proud of. It’s been a bumpy ride to this point, but it feels so good to have it out there.”Ben Lovell – Guitar/Vox
Let it go was recorded at Against The Grain Studios with Andy Kite – perhaps more known for his work with Metal bands – over the past 4 years. The band have built a solid friendship with Andy and the working relationship is one that allows them to let their music evolve in the studio to a point where, at the end of the road, it often sounds very different to where it began.
The existing and founding members of Axe and the Ivory, Ben Lovell, Rosie Roberts and Charlie Worthington, are joined onstage by newcomer to the band, Jordan Roberts on bass and vocals, rounding out their sound and helping to translate the lush studio release into a live setting.
Axe and the Ivory will celebrate the launch of their new EP at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, in Thebarton with support by the fabulous Kelly Menhennett, on the 27th March. Tickets are on sale now but are selling fast!
